Night Moon was born from the 10+ experience of supporting mothers and families through the perinatal time- from preconception, to birth, lactation and beyond.

I started attending births as a doula in 2012 and quickly knew I wanted to be a home birth midwife. I moved from Michigans Upper Peninsula, to Portland Oregon to attended Birthingway College of Midwifery in 2014.

In 2018 I graduated Midwifery school and moved back to Michigan to be on the lakes and in the snow. I’ve been running my own solo midwifery practice since 2018, assisting other midwives in the community, opened, then closed a birth center and have spent countless nights up awake witnessing the birth of babies and their families.

My own child was born at home on a sunny afternoon in 2022 with the diligent, incredible support of my midwives. That wild journey of birthing, nursing and parenting my own kid has deepened my commitment to those in the throes of transformation.

In 2024 I  became an IBCLC and started focusing my time on lactation support.

I currently live in Traverse City Michigan with my wife, daughter and old English sheepdog, Joni.
